Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering aims to deliver Technical Education in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, for producing Engineers and Technologists who are happy, healthy and competent professionals, motivated to serve the society through research & innovation.

  • To educate and train the students with state-of-the-art in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • To prepare the students who are fit for meeting the requirements and challenges of the Industry right at the time of their graduation by evolving a sustainable Industry-University interaction system for this.
  • To upgrade the teaching standards through continued efforts toward improvement of the qualification and expertise of the teachers as well as supporting staff.
  • To create awareness amongst the students towards socio environmental technologies by offering related courses and organizing seminars/workshops on these topics in the university and by encouraging participation in similar activities at other places.
  • To expand research and development activities in the frontier areas related to Electronics and Communication.
  • To include the aspect of integration of environmental balance and human values in the curriculum.
  • To provide academic support to others technical institutions at state & national level through the process of networking.
  • To start social service programs like education for masses, particularly using the enhanced means of communication.

HOD Desk Message

The department of ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION Engineering was established in the year 2008 with initial intake of 60 students. Undergraduate program of the EC Deptt. imparts solid technical background and research capabilities to the students which helps them to excel in ELECTRONICS CIRUITS & SYSTEMS used in varying application ranging from simple circuits to sophisticated DIGITAL SATTELITE systems, GSM& CDMA technology, Speech processing & Computer development.

We put all our efforts to make our students to compete Internationally and to produce creative solutions to society's needs, universal moral values, adherent to professional ethical code, and to generate any knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION.

The quality teaching and guidance by highly qualified and experienced faculty members has produced several scholars in AKTU examinations in a very short time. The regular interaction helps student to apply the theoretical knowledge to real life situations. The department not only has the necessary experimental facilities for undergraduate students but also hi-tech equipments and software platforms for research and development. The training of students in well equipped Microwaves and Electronics Laboratories, Guest Lectures by Experts and Industrial visits help them in grooming to become Globally Competitive Engineers. Moreover, the faculty members organize special sessions for topics such as business etiquettes, negotiation skills, effective communication, team work etc. that assures their placement in renowned multinational companies.

  • Placement in leading core communication companies like BSNL, MTNL, Reliance Communications, Tata Telecomm, Hutch, Bharti Telecom, Airtel, Nokia, CISCO, IBM, Intel, Agilent, Alcatel, AT&T, Ericsson, Honeywell, Bosch, National Instruments, IBM, Texas Instruments, HCL and others.

Analog System Design Laboratory - This lab is well equipped with sophisticated equipment's to perform experiments on Diode based electronic circuit design and transistor based electronic circuit designs. The available equipment's in this lab are CRO's, Function Generators, Power supplies, Digital ammeters, Digital Voltmeters, Analog ammeters and Analog Voltmeters. This lab also has 18 Zealtech workbenches which enables the students to perform the experiments in team.

Digital Electronics Laboratory - It is well equipped with various digital IC's and equipment's like latest model Digital IC trainer Kits, Logic Analyser, DSOs, Function Generators, Pulse Generators, Power Supplies, Digital Multimeter's for performing Digital Logic Design experiments and projects.

Communication Engineering Laboratory - It is equipped with hardware equipment's to carry out analog, digital and wireless communication experiments. The hardware equipment's includes, Digital storage oscilloscope (60 MHz and 200 MHz), EXA Signal Analyzer, RF Signal Generator, Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Multipurpose lab station, Digital IQ Modulation Set, Multiple output power supply, Wireless Software Defined Radio (900 MHz and 2.4 GHz), Sensor Module from Sensenut (Radio Module with Integrated Antenna, Gateway Module with USB cable, Gateway Module Wireless, TL Sensor Module (Temp. & Light), HTP Sensor Module (Humidity, Temp & Pressure), GAP Sensor Module (GPS, PIR & Accelerometer)). The software module includes, NetSim Version 9.1, Multisim ver. 10, Matlab 2015, broadband wireless simulator.

Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory - It is equipped with ARM based NXP Microcontroller, 8051 based NXP Microcontroller, various interfacing devices, Embedded developments boards, Keil software [supports ARM microprocessors and microcontrollers, 8051 microcontrollers] and Proteus software [simulates 8051 microcontrollers based system.
